Tesla Cybertruck launch in August with annual capacity of 375,000 vehicles

【PhoneAuto News】As a product that Tesla has delayed several times, Musk stated that Cybertruck will officially start production this year, but the specific date is still unclear. However, according to foreign media reports, based on information shared by Tesla and its suppliers, the American electric vehicle manufacturer’s goal is to produce 375,000 Cybertrucks annually. The first candidate version will be launched at the end of August 2023.

Tesla has previously revealed that more than 1.5 million people have pre-ordered the Cybertruck, and this number is still increasing. However, at the official unveiling ceremony of the Cybertruck, many early orders were for two, three, four, or even ten trucks per group. But is it really possible for someone to decide to receive ten Cybertrucks at once? This seems unlikely. Tesla recently reiterated that the Cybertruck will be launched this year and may hold some form of official delivery party at the “end of the third quarter.” A month before the official delivery event, prepare some pre-delivery versions of the vehicle, which seems to be a wise idea.

At Tesla’s recent annual shareholder meeting, Musk mentioned that Tesla may produce about 250,000 Cybertrucks annually. However, he further stated that the production capacity of the new car may be between 250,000 and 500,000 vehicles, so 375,000 vehicles seem to be just in the middle. Some media outlets claimed that they were able to obtain more details through communication channels between Tesla and its suppliers. It was reported that Tesla sent this email to its “Mount Everest Project” supplier (Mount Everest is the code name for Tesla Cybertruck) and revealed its goal of producing 375,000 vehicles annually.
