【phoneauto News】On July 21st, phoneauto noticed that there are reports that iQOO’s semi-annual iteration of the Z series will soon release a new phone, the iQOO Z8. Based on previous iQOO Z series models, the final price of the iQOO Z8 should be between 1500 yuan and 2000 yuan. For example, the currently available iQOO Z7 had an initial price of 1599 yuan when it was released, and the current starting price is only 1499 yuan.

According to the exposure, the iQOO Z8 will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. It is reported that this processor is built using TSMC’s 4nm process, with an eight-core design, including one Cortex-A78 core with a frequency of 3.1GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 3.0GHz, and four A55 cores with a frequency of 2.0GHz. It has 4MB of L3 cache and the GPU is Mali-G610. This processor has a Geekbench 5 score of 1050 for single-core performance and 4000 for multi-core performance, surpassing the performance score of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile platform.

In other aspects, the iQOO Z8 will be equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and its screen will use an LCD display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. Currently, there are fewer high-performance phones that use LCD screens, and the iQOO Z series is one of them.
