New Geely Binyue to launch on May 18th with 15L 4-cylinder engine

【PhoneAuto News】On May 16th, PhoneAuto learned from Geely official that Geely Bin Yue will be launched on May 18th. As a restyled model, the new Bin Yue mainly upgrades the styling details, and is equipped with the 1.5T four-cylinder engine that is mounted on Bin Yue COOL champion edition.

Geely Bin Yue

Compared with the current model, the new Bin Yue adopts a more dynamic design. The black vertical grille matches with the large headlamps on both sides and the two-sided air intakes on the front bumper, making it look more aggressive. At the same time, the new car adds red decorative strips to the side skirts and is equipped with red brake calipers and black multi-spoke wheels, which overall cater more to the preferences of young people. In addition, the side roof line of the new car extends to the rear, and the black top is separated by a chrome-plated decoration around the side window, showing a floating effect.

As for the rear of the car, the Bin Yue is equipped with a large-size spoiler, which, together with the diffuser design at the rear bumper and the dual-outlet exhaust layout on both sides, enhances the performance. In addition, the new car is equipped with through-type taillights, which echoes the shape of the front headlamps, enhancing recognition.

Geely Bin Yue Interior

As for the interior, the Bin Yue’s center console multimedia display screen adopts a suspended design, and the center console aisle retains some physical buttons. Coupled with the yacht-style gear lever, the new car’s internal technology is improved. The seats of the new car are stitched with orange thread, and there is also an orange “S” embroidery under the headrest, making it look more youthful and sporty. In addition, the new car is equipped with a keyless entry function and a one-key start function.

The powertrain is the biggest upgrade of the Binyue. The new car is equipped with a Geely 1.5T four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 181 horsepower (133 kilowatts) and a peak torque of 290 Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The chassis still uses a front MacPherson and rear torsion beam non-independent suspension structure.
