Oneplus 12 camera leak 64MP periscope telephoto lens

【Phoneauto News】Previously, there were rumors that the new phone OnePlus 12, under the OnePlus brand, is scheduled to be released to global users in January. Although it is still early before the release, the imaging configuration of the phone has already been leaked. On July 31st, Phoneauto learned from foreign media that the OnePlus 12 will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9 series (1/1.4 inch) main camera with OIS optical stabilization. The phone will also be equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto lens (with 3x optical zoom and OIS optical stabilization).

According to foreign media, the OnePlus 12 will be equipped with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED LTPO display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For the front camera, it will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

In addition, the OnePlus 12 will use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform. It is understood that the CPU of this mobile platform consists of 1 large core, 5 big cores, and 2 small cores. The large core is the Cortex X4 recently launched by Arm, which increases the peak performance by 15% compared to X3, and reduces power consumption by 40% under the same performance.

It is worth mentioning that the OnePlus 12 will come in a version with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of battery life, the OnePlus 12 may continue to have a 5000mAh battery, and fast charging is naturally at a hundred watts. There are rumors that it will support 150W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. As for NFC, X-axis linear motor, and dual speakers, they will not be absent.

If the leaked information about the imaging capabilities of the OnePlus 12 is true, then how will the competitors respond to the periscope telephoto lens of this phone? It seems that there will be fierce competition at the beginning of next year.
