OnePlus popularized true flagship across the industry

【PhoneAuto News】Lowering flagship configurations has become a common practice for many mobile phone manufacturers to enhance the competitiveness of mid-to-high-end models in recent years. However, there are only a few brands that truly have the sincerity and market feedback to achieve this. Oneplus is undoubtedly one of them. According to PhoneAuto, on May 22nd, Li Jie, the China CEO of OnePlus, talked about this on Weibo, stating that OnePlus is the only mainstream brand in the industry to achieve the popularization of true flagship across the board.

In his Weibo post, Li Jie wrote that a media friend asked him, “OnePlus was the first to start the popularization of the flagship in the industry, and other brands are now following suit. What makes you different?” To this question, he said, “The answer is simple.” The popularization of OnePlus’s flagship is a complete break from the so-called “industry convention.” Li Jie emphasized that as of now, OnePlus is still the only mainstream brand in the mobile phone industry to achieve the popularization of “true” flagship across the board! According to the official statement, OnePlus is the only mobile phone brand that uses flagship-level chips across the board, starts with 12GB of RAM across the board, eliminates 1080P screens across the board, eliminates screen plastic supports across the board, and uses flagship glass back cover technology across the board.

Li Jie’s Weibo post

PhoneAuto noticed that on the same day, OnePlus officially launched the “OnePlus 618 Flagship Popularization Storm.” At the event, OnePlus reviewed its “crazy record” in the mobile phone industry in the first half of the year: OnePlus became the brand with the highest growth rate in the industry with a growth rate of 300%; in April, OnePlus continued to grow rapidly, with a sales increase of 367% over the same period; in the 13 weeks since the launch of OnePlus Ace2, sales on all channels exceeded those of major competitors for 12 weeks.

According to Li Jie’s introduction, with the unexpectedly good market performance, OnePlus’s goal of “becoming the number one online 2K+ market in the next three years” is expected to be achieved ahead of schedule. He summarized, “We have gone through a very tough first half!”
