On July 17th, phoneauto learned that according to sources from the supply chain, the release of the new iPhone 15 series is entering the countdown phase. The related prototype models were originally supposed to be provided to peripheral manufacturers in August, but have now been released in advance and the supply chain has been asked to prepare in advance.

Recently, Taiwanese media reported that the renovation project of the dormitory apartments invested by Foxconn’s Zhengzhou campus, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Group, has been completed in recent days. This move can further ensure the smooth production of the iPhone 15 series. It is reported that the renovation work of a total of 30 buildings and 7568 apartments in five apartment complexes, including Yuhong, Huahong, Yukang North District, and Fuxin, in the Foxconn campus has been completed and delivered for acceptance.

In addition, phoneauto has learned that the iPhone 15 series is expected to undergo large-scale production in August, with a forecasted stock of up to 84 million units, a 12% increase compared to last year’s iPhone 14 series. Currently, Foxconn’s main production area is the Zhengzhou campus, which has already started hiring in large numbers, with over a thousand people entering the factory every day. During the peak period, the daily number of people entering the factory will reach tens of thousands.

Foxconn is one of Apple’s largest contract manufacturers for iPhones. According to related research companies, Foxconn and Luxshare will be responsible for producing 70% and 25% of the standard version of the iPhone 15, respectively, while Luxshare and Changshuo will be responsible for 60% and 35% of the iPhone 15 Plus. In addition, the Pro version and Pro Max version of the iPhone 15 will mainly (approximately 70%) be produced by Foxconn, while the remaining portion will be handed over to Changshuo.
