Regarding this, Satoshi Sato, senior manager of the Sony Product Planning Department, believes that the 1-inch large bottom is large in size and generates more heat. Therefore, Sony chose to use a double-layer transistor stack technology, which still has good light input and better heat management.

In fact, the “double-layer transistor pixel stack image sensor” is also a technological breakthrough for Sony. Compared with the 1-inch large bottom, this sensor can effectively control the thickness of the body, and it can also achieve a similar experience as the 1-inch large bottom.

In today’s world where high pixel count has become a flagship standard for images, powerful image sensors also bring users the experience of “free zoom”. When it comes to the zoom experience of Sony Xperia 1 V, Sony’s Senior Manager of Product Planning, Shuhei Sato, stated that by using the AI super-resolution zoom function of the lens, the AI can repair the damage caused during the zooming process to provide better results. As for the performance in terms of focus, Sony believes that the experience of high-speed shooting and shooting in low-light environments is more important. Therefore, this time, they have adopted the pixel merging technology of combining 48 million pixels into 12 million pixels.

Compared to traditional cameras, the imaging system of mobile phones still has some hardware deficiencies. However, through iteration on the software level, through continuously upgraded “computational photography”, mobile phones also have considerable imaging power.
