Huawei Mate60 Pro Violence Test Can it withstand being run over by a road roller and shot with a handgun?
Can Huawei Mate60 Pro endure being run over by a road roller and shot with a handgun?
【phoneauto News】Kunlun Glass, Xuanwu Architecture, Super Durable Silk… Although not a rugged type of waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof phone, the Huawei Mate60 Pro is full of reliable attributes. Previously, phoneauto reported on the news of a foreign blogger testing the Huawei Mate60 Pro, and now, domestic media has also tested this phone, and quite aggressively, with buses and road rollers taking turns, and even bringing in handguns.
Huawei Mate60 Pro
According to phoneauto, the original video blogger “” recently released a video, testing the durability of the Huawei Mate60 Pro and comparing it with the iPhone.
First on stage was the Wenjie M7, which fixed the Huawei Mate60 Pro to the ground with tape and then ran over it with a car. The result was that the phone was basically undamaged, with only some minor scratches.

Next, the testers increased the difficulty level, replacing the Wenjie M7 with a bus (carrying 50 people, weighing 16 tons). It was still the same Huawei Mate60 Pro as before, and this time there were still no cracks, although the phone still had vibration feedback, but the screen could no longer display, suggesting that only the internal screen was damaged.
Then, it was still the same phone, but this time the testing tool was replaced with a 22-ton road roller. Theoretically, with such weight and a gravel road surface, ordinary smartphones would be difficult to survive. As expected, this Huawei Mate60 Pro emitted smoke after being rolled over, and both the front and back screens shattered, but the body remained intact.
Next, the testers replaced the Huawei Mate60 Pro with a new one and brought the iPhone 14 Pro Max as a comparison. They synchronized both phones and threw them out of a car traveling at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. As a result, the Huawei Mate60 Pro showed signs of damage on the back corners and near the camera, but the front remained mostly unharmed. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro Max showed the opposite result – the back was unscathed, but the frame broke at the signal band, and the screen cracked in one corner.
Lastly, it was time for the highly anticipated shooting test. The testers replaced the Huawei Mate60 Pro with a new white one and fixed it to a fire extinguisher. They then used a .22 caliber pistol to shoot at a distance of 12 meters. In the first shot, the bullet hit the lower left back of the phone, causing smoke and a small hole. In the second shot, they moved the distance to 20 meters and hit the center of the phone, resulting in a bulge on the front screen, but it did not completely penetrate.
According to phoneauto, the testers then replaced the Huawei Mate60 Pro with another new one. They replaced the fire extinguisher on the back with a transparent acrylic one. This time, the bullet hit directly below the camera module, causing the acrylic on the back to shatter and create a gap, indicating that the phone was penetrated.
Although there have been cases where phones have blocked bullets in the past, the conditions required are very strict. After all, ordinary phones do not have much defensive capability against firearms.
