[Mobile China News] Apple announced on Monday local time that it will temporarily suspend the sale of its Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9 in the United States starting this week, as the company is dealing with a dispute over a patent for a pulse oximeter on the device.
Apple said it will soon stop selling its flagship Apple Watch models in the United States. Starting in the latter part of this week, the United States will no longer be able to purchase the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. After 3 p.m. Eastern Time on December 21, consumers will not be able to order the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9 on the Apple website. After December 24, retail stores will no longer have inventory of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9.
It is worth noting that there are reports from foreign media that Tang Tan, an executive responsible for iPhone and Apple Watch product design at Apple, will leave the company in February 2024.
