Huawei and Xiaomi Surge, While Apple's Dominance in China's High-End Smartphone Market Dwindles

【Mobile China News】Recently, Mobile China noticed that according to the latest BCI data, in the November 2023 Chinese mobile phone market, Xiaomi rose to 18.3% and became the number one domestic brand, while Apple ranked first with a 21.1% market share. Although Apple is still the top vendor in terms of market share in the Chinese mobile phone market, its share in the high-end smartphone market has seen a significant decline.

According to statistics, Apple’s share in the Chinese smartphone market above 4000 yuan is 50.8%, which has seen a 21.2% decline year-on-year. Huawei’s market share has increased by 8.8% to 22.3%, while Xiaomi’s market share has grown by 11.8% to 14.4%. In addition, brands such as vivo, Honor, OPPO, iQOO, and OnePlus respectively hold a market share of 3.8%, 2.7%, 1.8%, 1.5%, and 0.1%.

Calculations show that Huawei, Xiaomi, vivo, Honor, OPPO, iQOO, and OnePlus, these domestic mobile phone brands, collectively hold 46.6% of the Chinese high-end smartphone market, which is almost equivalent to Apple’s share. If Apple’s share continues to decline, domestic mobile phone brands will dominate the Chinese high-end smartphone market.

Huawei and Xiaomi’s share has significantly increased, mainly due to the launch of Huawei Mate60 series and Xiaomi 14 series flagships. According to other agencies, both the Huawei Mate60 series and Xiaomi 14 series are estimated to have sold over 2 million units, but Huawei and Xiaomi have not officially released the data yet.
