Is a six-day consecutive increase coming? Domestic oil prices will be adjusted tonight, with the possibility of being stranded

Possibility of stranded oil prices as domestic prices may increase for six consecutive days, with adjustment expected tonight

【Phoneauto News】Today is September 6th, Wednesday. According to the current domestic gasoline and diesel oil pricing mechanism, the new round of oil price adjustment window will open at 24:00 on September 6th. Based on the current situation, tonight’s oil price adjustment may be stalled or may increase. Previously, domestic oil prices have increased for five consecutive times. If domestic oil prices continue to rise tonight, there will be six consecutive increases.

Some institutions believe that this round of oil price adjustment will either be stalled or slightly increased. Related analysts have stated that the reference crude oil change rate in China has been continuously rising within the negative value range, and is currently at a low positive value. If international oil prices continue to fluctuate or slightly increase at the current level, the retail limit price of refined oil products in this round will face a stall or a slight increase. According to calculations by Jinlianchuang, as of the ninth working day on September 5th, the average price of the reference crude oil variety was $83.70 per barrel, with a change rate of 0.32%, corresponding to a domestic gasoline and diesel retail price increase of 15 yuan/ton.

It is worth noting that according to the current “Refined Oil Pricing Mechanism”, the main basis for domestic oil price adjustments is the comparison of the weighted average price of international crude oil over ten working days with the weighted average price of international crude oil in the previous period. Therefore, domestic oil prices are mainly adjusted based on international oil prices. However, the relevant regulations also state that if the upward or downward adjustment amplitude corresponding to the change rate is less than 50 yuan/ton, no adjustment will be made temporarily, and it will be accumulated or offset in the next adjustment. Currently, it is more likely that the oil price adjustment at 24:00 on September 6th will be stalled, neither increasing nor decreasing.
