The Xiaopeng G3/G3i has a new OTA upgrade with practical new features

【Phoneauto News】The new versions OTA of Xiaopeng Motors G3i and G3 were officially launched on October 8th. In this update, practical functions such as remote image viewing and narrow road assistance have been added to the two models.

Firstly, narrow road assistance is a very practical upgrade. This function will automatically activate the 360-degree image application when the vehicle approaches obstacles at low speeds. Drivers can clearly see all the surrounding conditions of the vehicle, including the distance between the vehicle and obstacles, allowing for more accurate driving operations. This function is particularly helpful for driving on narrow roads such as alleys, lanes, and old neighborhoods, effectively avoiding scraping and rear-end accidents.

At the same time, the narrow road assistance function also supports three levels of trigger sensitivity adjustment, allowing users with different driving habits to set it according to their own preferences. Whether it is an experienced driver or a novice driver, they can adjust this function based on their own driving habits to find the “safe distance” that suits them best. During the driving process, if the driver needs to manually view the 360-degree image, they can access or exit the 360-degree image through the control key on the steering wheel or the shortcut on the large screen, greatly enhancing driving safety and convenience. In addition, the new version also adds a remote image viewing function. After the vehicle’s infotainment system and mobile app are upgraded, users can remotely view the real-time environment and condition of the vehicle through the Xiaopeng Motors app. This function is very helpful for remotely monitoring the safety of the vehicle, allowing users to check the status and surroundings of the vehicle anytime, anywhere. Lastly, the new version also adds a practical improvement, which is the ability to display both battery percentage and remaining range on the instrument panel. In addition to the original battery percentage display, users can now choose from three display modes: remaining range, percentage, or remaining range + percentage by adding a “range display type” toggle button. This improvement gives users the choice to freely switch the display mode based on their personal usage habits, eliminating the need to estimate the remaining range in advance.
