Expert Apple’s iPhone 5G signal suspected of being falsely advertised Signal stronger than Huawei?
Is Apple falsely advertising the strength of its iPhone 5G signal? Is it stronger than Huawei's signal?
【Phoneauto News】Recently, domestic communication expert Xiang Ligang posted on social media, claiming that the 5G signal of Apple iPhone is suspected of being falsely labeled.
iPhone 14
According to him, once he was riding the Beijing Subway Line 10 home and found that the iPhone 14 of a young man next to him actually displayed a 5G signal. However, he often takes the Beijing Subway Line 10 and knows that it has not deployed a 5G network. So where does the 5G signal of the iPhone 14 come from?

Next, Xiang Ligang asked the young man which carrier he was using, and the young man said it was China Unicom. After testing, Xiang Ligang used a China Unicom SIM card inserted into a Huawei Mate40 5G phone, but the phone displayed 4G. The iPhone 14 used by the young man is also a 5G phone, but it displays 5G. Does this mean that the iPhone has a better signal than Huawei’s phone?
In order to further clarify the situation, Xiang Ligang contacted China Unicom’s leadership and confirmed with Beijing Unicom that there is still no 5G signal on Beijing Subway Line 10, but it is currently being promoted. In fact, none of the three domestic carriers have deployed 5G on this line. Strangely, although the young man’s iPhone 14 displays 5G, the internet speed is very average.
It is understood that Apple will hold its autumn product launch event for the latest iPhone 15 series at 1:00 a.m. Beijing time on September 13. There are rumors that the device will use a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 5G baseband, with a peak downlink rate of nearly 10Gbps and a peak uplink rate of 3.5Gbps, which will perform better than the X65.
