According to PhoneAuto, the reason why this unique tire can activate the anti-skid chain with the touch of a button is because it fully utilizes the characteristics of shape memory alloy in its energized state. When the vehicle is driving normally, the anti-skid chain made of shape memory alloy is hidden inside the tire. Once the driver activates this function, the shape memory alloy will be stimulated by the current to restore its original shape and increase the vehicle’s grip and stability.
