NIO has launched its 1900th battery swapping station, making recharging as convenient as refueling

【Phoneauto News】On September 29th, NIO announced that its 1900th battery swapping station was officially launched at the Wushan Service Area on the G42 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, bringing the total number of battery swapping stations nationwide to 1904. Up to now, NIO users have swapped batteries over 29 million times, with an average of 60,000 swaps per day. On average, a fully charged vehicle departs from a battery swapping station every 1.44 seconds. NIO will continue to expand its network to make recharging more convenient than refueling.

It is understood that NIO has already established 560 high-speed battery swapping stations nationwide, connecting the high-speed battery swapping network in the 6 vertical and 4 horizontal city clusters. The existing high-speed battery swapping network will continue to expand. By 2025, NIO aims to fully establish a high-speed battery swapping network in the 9 vertical and 9 horizontal city clusters, allowing users to travel freely on highways. In addition to providing better recharging support, the layout of NIO’s battery swapping network also provides better support for battery upgrades. Currently, NIO has provided over 100,000 battery upgrade services, helping users expand their travel options and explore new horizons.

Furthermore, as of September 29th, NIO has established 1904 battery swapping stations nationwide, including 560 high-speed battery swapping stations, 3193 charging stations, 18656 charging piles, and over 890,000 third-party charging piles. These facilities provide users with convenient and flexible energy services that include recharging, battery swapping, and upgrades, making recharging more convenient than refueling.
