Only One Week Left! Executives Announce Tesla Cybertruck Will Only Deliver 10 Units in First Batch.

【PhoneAuto News】Good news, Tesla’s Cybertruck is about to be delivered in just one week! We will witness the highly anticipated debut of possibly the most awaited electric vehicle of the decade. But, how many trucks will be delivered exactly?

This week, in an event in Mexico, Tesla’s Global Product Design Director, Javier Verdura, may have hinted at the answer. The approximately 2 million Cybertruck pre-orders may need to slightly lower their expectations.

According to the Mexican newspaper Milenio’s report last Friday, Verdura gave a keynote speech in Monterrey where he praised Tesla’s success over the years and predicted that electric cars will surpass gasoline-powered cars around 2026. However, he also stated that only 10 Cybertrucks will be delivered at the Cybertruck delivery event in Texas on November 30.

As announced before, the Tesla Cybertruck will hit the market on November 30, “we will deliver the first 10,” said Verdura. Lastly, he concluded that the sales of the Tesla Model 3 “have surpassed all major brands.”

It’s worth mentioning that Tesla has followed a similar pattern in past events as well. For example, during the Model 3 delivery event in 2017, Tesla only delivered 30 vehicles to company employees. Although countless stainless steel bodies can be seen in the Texas factory, it is still unclear how many Cybertrucks will be produced per week.

Elon Musk himself has also hinted at potential owners to keep their expectations in check for the Cybertruck. In a recent earnings call, he stated that the Cybertruck “needs one to one and a half years to become a significant, positive cash flow contributor for the company.” Apart from the challenges that Tesla usually faces when launching any new vehicle, especially a completely new model like the Cybertruck, the stainless steel body of this vehicle is notoriously difficult during mass production.
