Vivo Seeks Registration of Square Inch Chip Trademark - Merely a Tidbit for Their Self-Developed Image Technology?

[Mobile China News] Recently, the smartphone manufacturer vivo has made a new move in trademark registration, applying to register a trademark called “Square Inch Chip”. The international classification of this trademark is scientific instruments. Currently, the status of this trademark is still awaiting substantive examination.

In recent years, smartphone manufacturers developing their own small chips has become a trend. In addition to vivo, companies like Xiaomi have also adopted their own small chips in their flagship phones. vivo’s most well-known self-developed chip is the V series, and their latest phone, the vivo X100 Pro, not only uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 platform but also comes with a brand new self-developed image chip, the V3.
