【Mobile China News】The highly anticipated Xiaomi Surge OS is expanding its range of compatible models, and many Mi fans are surely looking forward to the system’s update. Currently, the Surge OS weekly beta update is only available to Chinese users. According to foreign media reports, the first batch of test updates is applicable to 5 smartphones, with an additional 4 models to follow, including the Redmi K50 series.
Xiaomi Surge OS
According to foreign media, the 4 Xiaomi phones that will receive the Surge OS beta update include: Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Redmi K50 Ultimate Edition, and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. It is reported that the last internal version of Surge OS is OS1.0.23.11.13.DEV, indicating that the weekly beta plan of Surge OS will be expanded to more users.

This operating system, which took 7 years to develop, is centered around people and covers various ecological areas such as individuals, cars, and homes. Xiaomi Surge OS has five major goals: underlying reconstruction, cross-device smart connections, proactive intelligence, comprehensive security, and open ecology, aiming to bring a new system experience to global users. Xiaomi Surge OS is available on the latest Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi Watch S3, and Xiaomi TV S Pro 85 Mini LED, and plans to start pushing the official version to more products from December 2023, including phones, tablets, TVs, watches, speakers, cameras, and other categories.
