【Mobile China News】 On December 1st, Huawei announced its partnership with Gaode Map. The latter will officially start developing native Hongmeng apps based on Huawei’s HarmonyOS NEXT operating system. This marks Gaode Map as the first enterprise in the navigation field to embark on Hongmeng app development and indicates that Huawei’s Hongmeng ecosystem construction is continuously progressing.
According to the cooperation agreement, Gaode Map will collaborate closely with Huawei to make use of HarmonyOS’s unique distributed technology, achieving more efficient multi-device deployment. This means that users can easily enjoy the location information services provided by Gaode Map in any scenario with just a simple operation. This technological breakthrough will greatly enhance the user experience and make Gaode Map the preferred choice for more users.
Prior to this, many vendors, including DingTalk, mPaaS, Xiaohongshu, and Bilibili, have also announced their cooperation with Huawei and initiated Hongmeng native app development. The inclusion of these enterprises injects new vitality into Huawei’s Hongmeng ecosystem construction. From the end of September until now, more than 20 vendors have announced their cooperation with Huawei and initiated Hongmeng native app development, covering over a dozen different domains, including social, e-commerce, office, and news information, among others.
