Mr Qin Peiji will join Geely as Deputy General Manager of the Sales Company, according to Geely's announcement

【phoneauto News】On August 21st, phoneauto noticed that Geely Auto officially announced that Mr. Qin Peiji will join Geely and serve as the Vice President of Geely Auto Group Sales Company, and be in charge of the Group Channel Development Committee, responsible for the development and construction of the automotive group’s channels, reporting to Lin Jie, Senior Vice President of Geely Auto Group.

Yang Xueliang, Senior Vice President of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, stated in a post that Mr. Qin Peiji has an outstanding track record in localized sales management, especially in the expansion of new energy vehicle sales models and the exploration of direct sales models for traditional automotive companies. With the need for Geely to accelerate its transformation to new energy, Mr. Qin Peiji will be responsible for optimizing the acquisition of new users, expanding channel networks, and other related work, further improving Geely’s market operation efficiency and user service quality.

Not long ago, on August 18, 2023, Volvo Cars announced personnel changes on its official website: Qin Peiji, President of Volvo Cars Greater China Sales Company, resigned, and his position was taken over by Martin Persson, current General Manager of Volvo Cars Japan. It is reported that Mr. Qin Peiji joined Volvo Cars in 2011 and has served as Vice President of Sales and Dealer Network in Volvo Cars Greater China, Chief Operating Officer of Greater China Sales Company, and was appointed President of Volvo Cars Greater China Sales Company in 2019.

According to official data, in July 2023, Geely Auto’s total sales volume was 138,100 vehicles, an increase of approximately 13% compared to the same period in 2022. Among them, the total sales volume of pure electric vehicles is about 28,150 units, Geely Galaxy sold 10,058 units, and Jikeyuan sold 12,039 units.
