Alert! Android phone users face serious vulnerabilities involving Android 11 to 13
Android phone users face serious vulnerabilities in Android versions 11 to 13
【Phoneauto News】According to phoneauto, recent reports from foreign media have warned Android phone users in India about serious vulnerabilities. This alert is targeted at users who are using Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13, as multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in different versions of the Android system.
According to reports, the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) subsidiary, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), has issued a severe warning for Android phone users, including users of Google and Samsung phones. The agency is concerned about multiple vulnerabilities found in different versions of the Android operating system, as these vulnerabilities put users’ security at risk.
It is understood that this alert mainly targets users who are using Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13. The reason for users to be cautious is that there are various vulnerabilities in the system that may allow cybercriminals to access sensitive data. The agency also emphasizes the importance of users updating their Android operating systems, as older versions of the operating system are more prone to being exploited by hackers using these vulnerabilities.

CERT-In explains that these vulnerabilities come from different parts of the Android system, including the framework, system, Google Play system updates, MediaTek components, Arm components, Qualcomm components, and closed-source components, etc.
It is reported that if these system vulnerabilities are exploited, serious consequences may occur, such as allowing attackers to run any code, gain more control, access important data, and even disrupt the system’s operation. This makes users more susceptible to threats such as telecommunications fraud and data leaks.
