Mate60 series sales soaring, Huawei raises its 2023 smartphone shipment target
Huawei increases 2023 smartphone shipment target due to soaring Mate60 series sales
【Phoneauto News】It is reported that with the continuous increase in sales of the Mate60 series smartphones, Huawei has raised its shipment target for next year. Recently, according to sources close to Huawei, the smartphone shipment target for 2024 is set at 60 to 70 million units, a significant increase from the 30 million units shipped in 2022.
“After the Pioneer Plan was launched, the sales of smartphones exceeded expectations. The company will continuously adjust the shipment target based on market conditions and has made sufficient preparations to ensure smooth supply,” said a Huawei spokesperson to Securities Daily on October 12th. Earlier, insiders revealed that Huawei has raised the overall shipment target for smartphones in 2023 and increased the target for the Mate60 series smartphones in the second half of the year by over 20%.
The Huawei Mate60 series was officially launched for sale and pre-sales were sold out. Based on pre-sale conditions, industry insiders predict that the cumulative sales of the Huawei Mate60 series this year will exceed 25 million units.

Currently, whether it is online or offline stores, the mainstream models of Huawei Mate60 are still “hard to find”. Most offline stores are “out of stock” for this series of smartphones, and consumers often need to pay a premium when purchasing from third-party platforms. Digital bloggers who frequently leak information about new Huawei phones revealed that the supply of the standard version and Pro version of the Mate60 series is expected to improve around the period of Double 11, while the Pro+ and RS models are estimated to be available by the end of the year.
The popularity of Huawei’s new phones directly impacts the supply chain and drives an increase in orders for suppliers. Guo Mingchi, an analyst at TF International Securities, said that looking ahead to 2024, it is expected that Huawei will purchase 30 to 40 million zero components.
