Huawei mobile phone sales strong This glass back cover company follows along and eats to their heart’s content.
Huawei maintains strong mobile phone sales as glass back cover production grows alongside their success.
[Mobile China News] According to Korean media reports, J&T, the curved (3D) cover glass company, is feeling “cocky”. Strong sales of Huawei smartphones have been key to J&T turning its losses into profits this year. Phone China has learned that J&T has expanded its factory in Vietnam due to increased production of cover glass for Huawei smartphones. This year’s annual sales are expected to double compared to last year.

According to industry insiders, it has been revealed that J&T is currently undergoing expansion of the Vietnam factory. This is due to the strong sales of Huawei’s flagship Mate60 series smartphones in recent times.
J&T’s curved cover glass processing technology enhances grip by curving the edges of the smartphone display. The Huawei Mate60 series features curved designs on the top, bottom, left, and right sides. J&T’s glass is used in Huawei smartphones with OLED panels produced by BOE and Visionox. In addition, J&T also operates a joint venture with BOE in China.

- Xiaomi 14 series sells like hotcakes, Xiaomi stock price hits a new high since the end of March last year.
- Xiaomi 14 is the only small-sized full-screen flagship in the domestic market. Redmi K70 has no rivals!
The industry predicts that Huawei holds the key to J&T’s recovery in performance this year. This is because curved cover glass accounted for 60%-80% of J&T’s sales in recent years, with Huawei accounting for 40%-50%. As Huawei’s smartphone business shrunk due to sanctions imposed in 2019, J&T’s performance declined as well. However, J&T managed to turn its losses into profits in the first half of this year – with sales of 112.8 billion Korean won, operating profit of 6.2 billion Korean won, and net profit of 3 billion Korean won. Sales increased by 33% compared to the same period last year, and operating profit and net profit turned into profits. Korean media predicts that J&T’s sales for this year will exceed 300 billion Korean won, with Huawei accounting for 200 billion Korean won, surpassing 50%.
Phone China has learned that Huawei’s smartphone shipments for this year are estimated to be between 40 million and 50 million units. Research firm Omdia previously predicted that Huawei’s smartphone shipments would increase from 28.1 million units last year to 36 million units this year. Foreign media reports that after the launch of the Mate60 series, Huawei’s smartphone shipments forecast increased. It is reported that Huawei has set a target of 100 million smartphone shipments for next year, surpassing the market research firm’s forecast of 70 million units by 40%.
