【Mobile China News】The Xiaomi 14 series has sold like hotcakes since it was officially launched. On November 2nd, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, posted on Weibo, “The Xiaomi 14 series is a success in our phase. I believe that Xiaomi phones will only get better and better.”

The Xiaomi 14 series launched at this event is equipped with the all-new Xiaomi Surge OS and a new imaging system, achieving a comprehensive leap forward and a historic breakthrough for Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones. Within just 5 minutes of going on sale, the Xiaomi 14 series saw sales increase sixfold compared to the previous generation’s initial sales. After 4 hours, it broke the record for “first-day sales volume and revenue” on e-commerce platforms including Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, and Kuaishou. Lei Jun stated that indeed the first sale of the Xiaomi 14 series set a new record, and they have significantly increased the production volume for the first month, aiming to ensure everyone can get the desired model as soon as possible.
According to Xiaomi’s Q2 2023 financial report, its total revenue for the quarter reached 67.4 billion yuan, with a net profit of 5.1 billion yuan after adjustment. Among the figures, the research and development expenditure was 4.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21%, and the proportion of R&D personnel was 52%. Xiaomi’s technological philosophy is to choose technology fields that have long-term value to human civilization and make long-term continuous investments.
