These Samsung devices do not support the upgrade to One UI 60, including S20, Note 20, and others
The Samsung devices, such as S20, Note 20, and others, do not support the upgrade to One UI 60
【Phoneauto News】Samsung previously upgraded its firmware support policy from two years to three years, and then promised to support some devices through four major operating system upgrades. Phoneauto has learned that on August 11th, Samsung launched the first beta version of the One UI 6.0 system based on Android 14 for the S23 series. The S23 series will not be the only devices running One UI 6.0, but some other Galaxy devices will also unfortunately miss out on the new system.
According to foreign media reports, every S series flagship starting from the Samsung S21 series (including S21 FE) is eligible to receive the Android 14 and One UI 6.0 updates at some point. This also applies to models such as A33, A53, A73, etc. However, there are also some popular Galaxy phones or tablets that cannot receive the One UI 6.0 update due to their old age. In order to let everyone know which specific devices are affected, foreign media has listed a checklist. As shown in the picture, the Samsung S20 series and Note 20 are included, and older devices naturally will not receive the update.

Android 13 will be the last major operating system update for the above Galaxy phones and tablets. However, although these Samsung devices will not be updated to Android 14 and One UI 6.0, they will continue to receive security patches for a period of time.
Compared with previous years, Samsung has released the Android 14 update earlier this year. The S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra were the first to receive the One UI 6.0 update. The previous generations of S series flagship phones and the latest Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 should follow soon after.
