Huawei has more black technology? Iris recognition methods and VR device patents authorized
Yes, Huawei has authorized patents for iris recognition methods and VR devices
【phoneauto News】On August 29th, phoneauto noticed that Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has been granted a patent for “Iris Recognition Method and VR Device” according to information provided by the relevant app. Currently, the application date for this patent is December 28, 2017, and the announcement date is August 29, 2023. The agency responsible for the application is Shenjia Intellectual Property Agency in Shenzhen.
It is understood that this patent provides an iris recognition method. This method captures images of the eyes at different positions during the movement of the camera unit and uses multi-frame fusion technology to remove the Fresnel pattern attached to the iris in the images. This method effectively eliminates the influence of the Fresnel pattern on iris recognition, improving the accuracy and stability of the recognition.
Currently, existing VR devices typically use a fixed camera unit for iris recognition, which is easily affected by factors such as lighting and angles, leading to inaccurate recognition results. In addition, due to the fixed distance between the camera unit of VR devices and the user’s eyes, it is difficult to obtain complete iris information, which also affects the recognition effect.
- The Huawei Mate60 series goes on sale today It can be pre-ordered on the official store for 69,999 yuan
- Huawei Mate60 series appearance design announced, with a porcelain-like texture, full of Chinese elements
- The detailed specifications of the Huawei Mate60 series have been fully disclosed, but the processor is still a mystery
To address these issues, Huawei’s patent provides a solution. By controlling the camera unit to capture images of the eyes at different positions during movement, more complete iris information can be obtained, thereby improving the accuracy and stability of the recognition. In addition, the use of multi-frame fusion technology removes the Fresnel pattern attached to the iris in the images, further enhancing the recognition effect.
Undoubtedly, Huawei’s new patent provides a new solution to address the issues in iris recognition during the VR device process, which has a positive impact on driving the development of the VR device industry.
