According to foreign media analysis, the secret behind this success is attributed to LG Display’s differentiated technology, strict quality control, and stable supply capacity. LG Display’s pioneering Tandem OLED device structure is the core technology of their automotive OLEDs. Unlike the traditional single-layer approach, this technology involves stacking two organic light-emitting layers, thereby improving brightness, lifespan, and overall durability. In addition, the second-generation Tandem OLED, which entered mass production this year, improves the efficiency of organic light-emitting devices, enhances screen brightness and lifespan, while reducing power consumption by about 40% compared to existing models.
It is reported that LG Display plans to consolidate its leading position in the high-end automotive display market through Tandem OLED technology and will focus on developing product lines including P-OLED, Advanced Thin OLED, and LTPS LCD.
