Apple Facial Vein Recognition New Patent Authorized! Can Distinguish Twins
Apple's new patent for facial vein recognition has been authorized, allowing it to distinguish between twins
【PhoneAuto News】According to Tianyancha App, on September 12th, Apple’s patent for “vein matching for difficult biometric authentication cases” was granted.
The abstract shows that when the device authenticates the user through facial recognition, this patent can use subcutaneous imaging of the face to evaluate subcutaneous features such as blood vessels and veins. During the authentication process, when the user’s face is identified as a user with less deterministic authorization, this patent can use the evaluation of subcutaneous features to distinguish users with closely related facial features, such as siblings or twins.
