Geekay to Introduce New Mainstream SUV Models in Upcoming Year; Exciting Progress on Geekay 007 Travel Edition Project

【PhoneAuto News】At this year’s Guangzhou Auto Show, the first pure electric sedan from JiKe, JiKe 007, officially debuted and attracted a lot of attention. Recently, it was reported by the media that apart from JiKe 007, JiKe will also launch multiple new models next year.

According to exclusive information obtained by the media, JiKe will launch a main SUV model with the internal code name CX1E next year. It is expected to enter the factory in the first quarter of 2024 and be put into production by the end of the same year. According to the current plan, the new CX1E will be produced in parallel with the Lynk & Co 09. A person close to Geely Research Institute revealed that if the sales of CX1E go smoothly, Lynk & Co 09 will be moved from the current production line to make way for JiKe CX1E.

Like JiKe 007, CX1E will also target the mainstream segment of the electric vehicle market, directly competing against products such as Tesla Model Y. In addition to the aforementioned SUV model, JiKe also has a model with the code name CC1E, which is a new car that has recently been approved and positioned as the touring version of JiKe 007.

Previously, JiKe mainly targeted niche markets, including the JiKe 001 hunting vehicle, the compact pure electric SUV JiKe X, and the luxury MPV JiKe 009. It even introduced the high-performance sports car JiKe 001 FR. However, these vehicles could not bring higher sales to JiKe, so it needs to change its strategy and launch more models that appeal to the mainstream market, which is exactly what JiKe 007 represents. In addition, as the current best-selling model of JiKe, JiKe 001 is also expected to undergo a generational change next year, giving JiKe’s product line greater competitiveness in the coming year.
