Li Bin stated that NIO Phone is a NIO-styled phone, with its SkyUI adopting a clean design and being simple and easy to use. Li Bin stated that the new phone is based on NIO’s design principles, combining usability and aesthetics. SkyUI also gives a skyline design language, with the upper layer displaying relevant information and the lower layer mainly used for interaction.

In terms of system features, its skyline wallpaper supports automatic alternation between morning and dusk, able to change as time passes. It supports full-link security and privacy protection, and also has third-order Bezier curve animations, making the animations smoother.

As a major selling point of NIO Phone, the new phone offers zero system advertisements and zero commercial pre-installation. Li Bin said that in order to prevent advertisements from being added to the new phone, NIO directly removed the advertisement interface of NIO Phone, while also improving the privacy protection for users. Li Bin jokingly said to the team, “You don’t have many units, so what money can you make from advertisements?”

Regarding why they made a phone, Li Bin said it’s not because all phone companies are making cars, or because NIO, as a carmaker, is not making money and needs to make profits through phones. It’s because NIO users need a phone that seamlessly connects with NIO cars.

However, in terms of price, NIO Phone does live up to its title as a high-end flagship phone. It comes in three versions, with the performance version being 12GB+512GB and priced at 6,499 yuan. The flagship version is 12GB+1TB and priced at 6,899 yuan. The EP edition is the highest with 16GB+1TB and priced at 7,499 yuan.
