The telecom versions of Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 are coming, and they are expected to be named the W24 series, just like the W23 series, which will have two models, large and small foldable phones.

According to the introduction, the Samsung “Heart of the World” W series is a high-end custom flagship phone created by China Telecom and Samsung, mainly targeting enterprises and business users. The Heart of the World W24 series will be based on the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5 foldable screen phones.

On the evening of August 3rd this year, Samsung held a new product launch event for the Chinese market, releasing two foldable screen phones, Z Fold5 and Z Flip5. Among them, compared with Z Fold4, Z Fold5 has not changed much in appearance. The external screen still adopts a slender body ratio and a new color of blue-gray has been added. The weight of the whole machine has been reduced to 253g, which brings a better grip feeling.

Samsung Z Fold5

Z Flip5 is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X center-punched external screen, supporting a 120Hz high refresh rate. It adopts an irregular external screen in the shape of a folder, with a larger size of 3.4 inches and a 60Hz refresh rate. It also adds AI automatic recognition of subjects in the framing to switch between different cameras for taking photos, and the stabilization function is further enhanced.

In terms of configuration, both phones are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy mobile platform, with excellent performance. In terms of price, the Chinese version of Z Fold5 has launched two configurations, with the 12GB+512GB version priced at 12,999 yuan and the 12GB+1TB version priced at 14,999 yuan. Z Flip5 comes in two versions, 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB, priced at 7,499 yuan and 8,499 yuan respectively.
