In terms of production, the value added of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 0.9% year-on-year, an increase of 0.8 percentage points compared to January to July.

However, its growth rate is still slightly lower than that of the national industry and high-tech manufacturing industry during the same period, with a decrease of 3.0 and 0.9 percentage points respectively. Among them, in August, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 5.8% year-on-year, showing a strong growth momentum.

In terms of the production of major products, the output of mobile phones was 935 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%. The output of smartphones was 679 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.5%. The output of microcomputer equipment was 220 million units, a significant decrease of 21.7%. The output of integrated circuits was 221.4 billion pieces, a slight decrease of 1.4% year-on-year.

In terms of exports, the export delivery value of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size decreased by 8% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points compared to January to July. According to customs statistics, the export volume of laptops, mobile phones, and integrated circuits all showed a year-on-year decline, with decreases of 21.7%, 10.9%, and 6.2% respectively.

In terms of benefits, the operating income of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size reached 9.21 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%. However, compared to January to July, the decline narrowed by 0.3 percentage points. The operating costs were 8.06 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3%. Among them, the total profit was 354.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 20.6%, but the decline narrowed by 5.8 percentage points compared to January to July. At the same time, fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry also continued to grow, with a year-on-year increase of 9.5% from January to August, 0.7 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial investment during the same period.
