A video shared by drone enthusiast Joe Tegtmeyer on his YouTube channel shows the collision testing laboratory of the Texas Gigafactory captured by aerial photography. Tegtmeyer stated that he discovered two fully-covered Cybertrucks parked next to the collision testing laboratory.

“The most interesting thing is the two Cybertrucks near the collision testing facility, which are easily visible at the south end of the structure, preparing for crash walls, pits, and other items for future use,” explained Tegtmeyer. “Tesla may be planning to conduct its own collision tests on the Cybertrucks to obtain additional data on how these new vehicles perform in crashes. Tesla tends to simulate more collision test scenarios like the NHTSA.”

Since the beginning of this year, Tesla has been conducting collision tests on the Cybertruck. Recently, netizens found two Cybertrucks behind a trailer, presumably returning from collision testing. One of the Cybertrucks was covered, just like in Tegtmeyer’s video. However, the second one was completely exposed, with a sticker on its body that read “Cybertruck Ditch Rollover.”
