【phoneauto News】On September 13th, phoneauto learned from the official Weibo account of NIO that NIO’s intelligent driving has reached a new milestone – the cumulative mileage of NOP and NOP+ has exceeded 500 million kilometers! Among them, the cumulative mileage of NOP exceeds 400 million kilometers, and the cumulative mileage of NOP+ exceeds 100 million kilometers.

In October 2020, NIO released China’s first leading navigation-assisted function, NOP, followed by the global first standard-equipped NOP+ with laser radar and supercomputing power in December 2022, and upgraded to the official version in July 2023. According to NIO’s official introduction, NOP and NOP+ have accompanied car owners for more than 1000 days, with a cumulative usage time of over 5.75 million hours, of which NOP+ has served over 80% of Banyan users nationwide. It is reported that the top three models with the most use of NOP+ are ET7, ET5, and ES7. During the morning and evening rush hours, about 10,435 people nationwide open NOP+ at the same time.

Currently, NOP+ adds more than 5 million kilometers of mileage per week, which is equivalent to traveling between NIO’s headquarters in Hefei and the Munich Design Center 313 times. NOP+’s footprint covers 340 cities nationwide, with the top three regions being Shanghai, Zhejiang Province, and Jiangsu Province, accounting for 18%, 16%, and 15% of the mileage, respectively.

NIO introduced that NOP+ has a driving experience similar to that of an experienced driver, with a successful overtaking and lane changing rate of 95% and a successful navigation lane changing rate of 93%. The average daily maximum time saved from driving for users is 62 minutes. In terms of hardware, the NIO Aquila ultra-sensing system has super perception capability, with a maximum detection range of 500 meters for ultra-long distance high-precision laser radar, and all models are equipped with 24 safety and driving assistance functions.
