China Leads Global Car Sales Rankings, India Overtakes Japan in First Three Quarters

Specifically, from January to September 2023, car sales in the United States reached 9.2932 million units, with a higher penetration rate of new energy vehicles compared to India and Japan, reaching 11.41%; car sales in India have surpassed Japan, but the penetration rate of new energy vehicles is only 0.45%; car sales in Japan are not much different from India, and although the penetration rate of new energy vehicles is higher than India, it is still relatively low; moving forward, it is dominated by traditional automobile industrial powers – Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. The penetration rate of new energy vehicles in these three countries is relatively high, all exceeding 20%. As for other countries, car sales in Brazil, Italy, and South Korea have all exceeded one million units, with Brazil having a relatively low penetration rate of new energy vehicles, indicating that there is still a lot of room for development.
