:iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to account for nearly 40% of the production output
iPhone 15 Pro Max expected to make up 40% of production output
【phoneauto News】It is expected that Apple will release four new models in mid-September, including iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. According to TrendForce’s forecast, the overall production of the iPhone 15 series this year will reach around 80 million units, an increase of nearly 6% compared to the same period last year. Among them, due to the smooth progress of the Pro series production and the unique periscope lens used in the Pro Max, it is expected that this will help increase sales. It is estimated that the output of the Pro series will account for more than 60%.
However, due to poor market conditions and Huawei’s strong comeback, it is expected that the total production of the iPhone this year will be between 220 million and 225 million units, a decrease of about 5% compared to the previous year.
Due to EU legislation restrictions, the iPhone 15 series will adopt the Type-C interface. In terms of configuration, the main upgrades of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are the 48-megapixel main camera synchronized with the Pro series and the introduction of the Dynamic Island design. The specifications of the Pro series include processor chip upgrades, increased DRAM capacity, and the introduction of a titanium-aluminum alloy frame. In particular, the Pro Max will also be equipped with a periscope lens, providing even better imaging effects.

- Against the Current mobile game has completed the adaptation for Huawei Mate60 series phones in a sprint-like manner
However, as new models are continuously released, the production difficulty is also increasing. Currently, there have been reports that the mass production yield of the 48MP main camera of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is lower than expected due to component and assembly issues, and the assembly of the Pro series panels and titanium alloy frames has also encountered some difficulties. However, according to current understanding, the production issues of the Pro series may be resolved earlier than those of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Considering the current global economic downturn, Apple may adopt a more cautious pricing strategy to avoid impacting sales performance. According to TrendForce’s forecast, the retail prices of the three new models, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro, will remain relatively unchanged compared to last year. However, due to the Pro Max version additionally featuring a high-priced periscope lens, it is expected that its price may increase, with the maximum increase being within $100. If this scenario does occur, it will also be the first time Apple has adjusted product prices since the iPhone X.
