Canalys’ data shows that Lenovo and TCL are the only two brands among the top five smartphone brands that have seen an increase in shipments compared to the same period last year. Lenovo is at 29% and TCL is at 15%. This is a good performance in the sluggish smartphone market. In comparison, the top three ranked Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi have all declined, although Samsung’s decline is relatively small.
