[Mobile China News] After the preheating period, OPPO’s new foldable screen phone has finally arrived. On the afternoon of October 19th at 14:30, OPPO held a new product launch event, and the focus of this launch event was the foldable screen new phone – OPPO Find N3. The new phone has two versions: standard edition and collector’s edition. The former adopts a combination of 12GB+512GB memory and is priced at 9999 yuan, while the collector’s edition is a 16GB+1TB version, priced at 12999 yuan. The new phone will officially go on sale at 10:00 am on October 27th.

Unlike the previous OPPO foldable screens, both the inner and outer screens of OPPO Find N3 have significantly increased in display area. Although the screen display area has increased, the feel of the phone remains thin and light. In the unfolded state, OPPO Find N3 has a thickness of only 5.8mm, and the weight of the entire device is only 239g (stealth black color), which is almost the same as the previous generation. The reason why it can increase the screen size without adding too much weight is mainly due to the use of a series of new technologies to reduce weight. Whether it’s the super strong aerospace alloy hinge, super ceramic crystal glass, or carbon fiber screen support, they all make the device significantly lighter while increasing durability, and it has passed the 1 million times German TV Rhein folding test.

In terms of the screen, OPPO Find N3 is equipped with a 6.3-inch outer screen and a 7.8-inch inner screen. Both screens can achieve a dynamic peak brightness of 2800 nits and a maximum global brightness of 1400 nits. They both also support 120Hz free dynamic refresh rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, 10-bit color depth, 100% P3 color gamut coverage, and HDR10+ certification. Both screens also support ProXDR display, which can greatly improve high-brightness display effects, and they also support Dolby Vision.

Due to limited space, imaging has always been a pain point for foldable screen phones. However, OPPO Find N3 has effectively addressed this shortcoming. The phone is equipped with a rare 48 million pixel wide-angle main camera + 64 million pixel ultra-sensitive periscope telephoto lens + 48 million pixel high-resolution ultra-wide-angle triple-camera module on the foldable screen. The main camera uses a brand new “foldable pixel” sensor, which utilizes a larger capacity dual-layer transistor structure to achieve a larger dynamic range, improving the amount of light entering the main camera for better night photography. In addition to the main camera, the 64 million pixel periscope telephoto lens can highlight the subject at 3X and magnify the close-up at 6X, bringing the scene to life. The ultra-wide-angle lens allows foldable screen phones to have the same versatility as flagship straight screen phones.

On the system side, OPPO Find N3 is equipped with ColorOS that has been optimized specifically for large screens. After multiple upgrades, the new phone, together with ColorOS, has further improved its practicality, especially the split-screen function commonly used on foldable screen phones. From the common half-half split screen to the full screen three-split screen, it can all be supported, with a split screen success rate of up to 99%. In addition, it has also been specially optimized for large screen desktop interaction and file management, making searching and viewing easier.

In terms of privacy and security, OPPO Find N3 is internally equipped with a national security certification independent security chip, providing security functions including file encryption protection and phone lock protection. The special three-segment side buttons of the OPPO Find N3 collectors’ edition can slide to enter “VIP mode”. In this mode, without affecting external communication, permissions such as the phone’s camera, microphone, and location will be turned off, creating a more private mobile environment.
