The OnePlus folding screen phone can endure 400,000 folds and has a lifespan of 10 years
【PhoneAuto News】OnePlus Open is one of the most anticipated foldable phones of the year. This will be OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone, expected to be launched soon. The specific release date has not been officially announced yet, but OnePlus has confirmed that the new device will be released in the third quarter. Prior to this, there have been many leaks online about OnePlus Open. The latest leaked information talks about the durability of OnePlus Open, which is one of the most important factors for foldable phones.
Perhaps one thing that everyone is curious about foldable phones is how many times they can actually be folded until they become unusable. According to the leaker Max Jambor, OnePlus Open has undergone at least 400,000 tests of unfolding and folding. This means folding and unfolding 100 times a day, and it can be used for up to 10 years. When you think about it, this is already a pretty good achievement, and it’s good news for anyone planning to use OnePlus Open for several years.

However, this is not official information, and we have to wait for the launch event to see OnePlus’ evaluation of the durability of its foldable device. But compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, OnePlus Open has a higher foldable count than the promised 200,000 folds by Samsung.
The expected price of OnePlus Open in India is between 110,000 rupees and 1,20,000 rupees (approximately 9675 yuan to 10555 yuan), which is cheaper than the price of 1,54,999 rupees (approximately 13600 yuan) for the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Another area where OnePlus Open may surpass the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is the display. Recent leaks suggest that the OPPO Find N3 (possibly launched globally as OnePlus Open) will be equipped with a 7.82-inch main display with a resolution of 2268×2440 and a pixel density of 426 PPI. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a pixel density of 426 PPI and a smaller display size of 7.6 inches. This will also be the highest pixel density among all foldable devices on the market.
