Vivo X100 Pro+ undergoes satellite call testing, potential release in March 2022.
【Mobile China News】Earlier, vivo held a new product launch event, introducing the vivo X100 series. The new device quickly attracted the attention of many consumers, and the Pro+ version of this series is expected to be released in March next year. On December 6th, it was noticed that the phone blogger leaked that the vivo X100 Pro+ has started testing satellite calls, but it is the latest among all phone manufacturers to conduct this test.
It is reported that the vivo X100 Pro+ satellite communication function is realized based on the Ziguang Zhanrui V8821 satellite communication SoC chip. This chip is the first domestic flagship satellite chip that integrates common communication functions such as baseband, RF, power management, and storage. It adopts a 6nm process technology and supports L-band maritime satellites and S-band TianTong satellites, enabling bidirectional satellite message transmission of text, images, voice, video, etc.
In terms of core configuration, it is rumored that the vivo X100 Pro+ will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform. This chip is built using TSMC’s new generation 4nm process technology and integrates a 3.3GHz large core and a higher-performance GPU. Therefore, the new device not only has such efficient performance but also has low power consumption. In terms of battery life and fast charging, the vivo X100 Pro+ has a built-in 5400mAh large-capacity battery, maximizing the battery life, and supports 120W super-fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, with a very impressive charging speed.
