Volvo welcomes Qin Peijie to Geely Automobile Group, hoping for continued success

【Phoneauto News】 On August 18, 2023, Volvo Cars announced personnel changes on its official website: Qin Peiji, President of Volvo Cars Greater China Sales Company, resigned and his position was taken over by Martin Persson, the current General Manager of Volvo Cars Japan. At that time, this news attracted the attention of some netizens.

On August 21, 2023, just three days after officially leaving Volvo, Yang Xueliang, Senior Vice President of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, announced that Mr. Qin Peiji will join Geely and serve as the Vice President of Geely Automobile Group Sales Company. He will also be responsible for the Group’s Channel Development Committee and report to Lin Jie, Senior Vice President of Geely Automobile Group. Regarding the former President of their sales company leaving and quickly joining Geely, Volvo has responded, expressing their gratitude to Mr. Qin Peiji for his contributions to Volvo Cars and wishing him greater success in his new position.

According to relevant information, Mr. Qin Peiji joined Volvo Cars in 2011 and has held a series of important positions, including Vice President of Sales and Dealer Network for Volvo Cars Group Greater China, and Chief Operating Officer of Greater China Sales Company. In 2019, Mr. Qin Peiji was officially appointed President of Volvo Cars Greater China Sales Company. On August 18, 2023, he resigned from the position of President and was succeeded by Martin Persson, General Manager of Volvo Cars Japan.

It is reported that as President of Volvo Cars Greater China Sales Company, Mr. Qin Peiji mainly promoted the expansion of Volvo Cars’ sales and service channels, and also promoted Volvo Cars’ exploration in the direct sales model for electric vehicles.
