How to protect personal privacy and security? Let’s take a look at how iPhone does it

Learn how iPhone protects personal privacy and security

【PhoneAuto News】Smartphones have become the most frequently used tool in our daily lives. There are various types of privacy information stored on each person’s smartphone. In the eyes of many internet companies, this information can be used to create a clear profile of a person and to accurately push advertisements in order to obtain profits.

In fact, not everyone wants to disclose their private information to major internet or advertising companies, nor do they want others to profit from their personal privacy. Smartphone manufacturers have also noticed this basic demand from consumers and have added a large number of privacy protection features to smartphones to allow users to use their phones with peace of mind.

Recently, Apple released its latest privacy feature promo. Unlike in the past, Apple invited actor Donnie Yen to star in the ad and showcased the transparency of the most user-concerned apps, health apps, Safari anti-tracking, and secure enclaves/encrypted facial ID data to promote how the iPhone protects users’ personal privacy.

In the process of using a smartphone, many people have found that after viewing a product they want to buy online, it suddenly appears on other web pages. This is because third parties cross-site display ads by tracking cookies and other website data. Using Safari’s intelligent anti-tracking feature, what users view online remains confidential and will not become the business of advertisers. It is worth noting that this feature is enabled by default, so users do not need to set it up to enjoy the protection provided by Safari.

Health data is also a top priority for everyone, as recording exercise information using smartphones has become the norm. In the process of using an iPhone, all sports-related apps available on the App Store must use Apple’s HealthKit. It allows developers to create various health and fitness apps and share data with the iPhone’s health app or other apps. As a user, you can decide which apps to share HealthKit information with, and Apple will also require developers to provide relevant privacy policy terms for users to consult.

It is worth noting that after downloading an app for the first time on an iPhone, we will all receive the app’s permission request. Only when we provide the corresponding permissions can the app help us complete the corresponding functions. And after iOS 14.5/iPadOS14.5, Apple has also added tracking options. Developers can only track user data on other companies’ apps and websites for advertising or data purposes if they obtain the user’s permission.

Apple has promoted its privacy protection policy on multiple occasions and regards privacy as a basic right of every individual. In the process of using a mobile phone in daily life, users should be able to choose which privacy information to share and with whom, instead of being decided by the device or third parties. Of course, Apple’s promotion of privacy protection is not a one-time event, but driven by the entire company’s values. This time, by promoting several common privacy strategies for users through advertisements, Apple aims to let more users understand these experiences that are not easily perceived but very effective.
