They inquired with several insurance companies and found that the annual premium for the second year is around 5000 yuan. They feel that this insurance is too cheap for a car worth nearly 500,000 yuan. To compare it with a similarly priced gasoline car, Ideal Auto’s CEO Li Xiang has forwarded the related news and stated that the reason for the cheap insurance is mainly due to the extremely low accident rate of the Ideal L9.

Currently, it seems that Ideal Auto has not yet released any specific data on the accident rate of the Ideal L9. However, Phoneauto has learned that in the collision tests conducted by China Insurance Research Institute, Ideal’s Ideal L8 model achieved the best performance among SUV models in the history of collision testing by China Insurance Research Institute. The Ideal L8 received the highest rating of G (Excellent) in terms of passenger safety index, pedestrian safety index, and vehicle auxiliary safety index. Especially in the non-standard test of 25% offset collision on the passenger side, it also received a G rating. However, in terms of durability and repair economy, the Ideal L8 only achieved an M rating.
