A foreign leaker has revealed that MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chip is expected to launch this month. It is understood that Dimensity 8300 will be the successor to Dimensity 8200, which was first unveiled in December last year. The new Dimensity 8300 chip will adopt a 1+3+4 architecture. It will be equipped with 1 Cortex-X3 CPU core clocked at 2.8GHz, 3 Cortex-A714 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and 4 Cortex-A510 CPU cores clocked at 1.6GHz. In terms of GPU, the chip will be equipped with an ARM Mali G52-MC6 GPU clocked at 850MHz. From the core specifications, Dimensity 8300 is expected to be positioned in the mid-to-high-end range, with performance estimated to reach the level of Dimensity 9000+.

In order to bring more powerful performance, Dimensity 9300 adopts a “4+4” design in the CPU aspect, with 4 Cortex-X4 large cores + 4 Cortex-A720 big cores, making it very impressive in terms of stackability. In CPU performance tests, it even outperforms Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3. As for the GPU, the chip will integrate Arm’s latest Immortalis G720 GPU, supporting new technologies such as latency-based vertex shading and hardware ray tracing.
