Netizens speculate that the two new phones may be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7200, Dimensity 900, or Dimensity 810 processors, and some netizens claim “it is probably Dimensity 6080 and Dimensity 7200”.
For reference, the Redmi Note 12 series was released at the end of October 2022, with the global first launch of the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 high-efficiency processor. The Pro version has a thickness of 7.9mm and weighs 187g, making it the thinnest and lightest Note phone in history. The entire Redmi Note 12 series uses a 6.67-inch flexible straight screen, which supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 100% P3 color gamut. The Explorer Edition and Pro+ version’s main camera is equipped with a Samsung HPX 200 million pixel ultra-clear camera, while the Note 12 Pro is positioned as a trendy imaging flagship, with the main camera using Sony IMX766 large bottom sensor. All phones in the series are equipped with an 8 million pixel ultra-wide-angle camera + 2 million pixel macro camera.
Redmi Note 12 Pro
From this perspective, it seems that there are not many changes in the specifications of the Redmi Note 13 series compared to the previous generation. However, there have been leaks suggesting that some models in the Redmi Note 13 series may abandon the use of flat screens and instead use curved screens. The specific models may include the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ while the Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 Pro will continue to use flat screens.
Considering that the Redmi Note 13 series has already been registered with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), it can be speculated that these two new models are highly likely to be released in the near future, either in September or October.
