According to TrendForce’s analysis, LG Display has encountered problems in the supply of 6.7-inch panels for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which has led to the failure of quality verification tests. The production schedule of LG Display is expected to be delayed by one month, waiting for re-verification to be completed later this month before resuming shipments. During this period, Samsung Display will intervene and provide auxiliary support. TrendForce emphasized that the panel quality issues have little impact on the overall shipment progress of the iPhone 15 series. The main consequence is the reshuffling of panel suppliers, and Samsung Display will continue to maintain its position as the main supplier of new iPhone panels this year, accounting for nearly 70% of the market share.

According to previous reports, the frames of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be narrower than those of the iPhone 14 Pro models, and the reduction in frame size has also led to manufacturing problems.
