Honor Huawei Launches Hao Wei OV50K with Impressive Performance
【Mobile China News】Currently, Samsung and Sony have always been seen as the two biggest players in the mobile camera sensor field. However, over time, the domestic CMOS manufacturer, Hawkeye, is rapidly gaining recognition. On December 13th, Phone China noticed that a number of digital bloggers have leaked that the performance of the Hawkeye OV50K is consistent with expectations. Furthermore, the blogger claims that this CMOS sensor incorporates technologies from the automotive, security, and machine vision sectors, and will be debuted by either Honor or Huawei. It is worth mentioning that the OV50H has already been used on the Xiaomi 14, referred to as the Light Hunter 900 sensor. The positioning of the OV50K is even higher.
It is understood that the Hawkeye OV50K adopts a brand new LOFIC technology, which can directly compete against Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor. With LOFIC, the OV50K effectively avoids overexposure issues in high-illuminance scenes. In the field of photography equipment, it has always followed the truth that a one-inch sensor corresponds to one-inch strong performance. The larger the sensor area, the stronger the light sensitivity, and the more detailed the recorded image, which is determined by its physical characteristics. This means that the OV50K with a one-inch sensor will also bring the industry’s strongest light sensitivity capability, and its performance in low-light conditions will be superior.
