Nezha opens research on the world’s largest tonnage pressure casting equipment! Surpassing Tesla, Xiaopeng, and Wanjie

Nezha unveils groundbreaking research on the world's largest tonnage pressure casting equipment, surpassing industry giants Tesla, Xiaopeng, and Wanjie

【PhoneAuto News】On December 18th, Nezha Motors announced that it will develop the world’s largest tonnage casting equipment. The development of the world’s largest 20,000+ ton casting equipment and the cooperation of the largest-scale super large-scale equipment category will be initiated in China, completed by Nezha Motors in collaboration with Lijin Group.

On December 15th, Nezha Motors signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Lijin Group. According to the agreement, Nezha Motors will jointly develop the world’s largest 20,000+ ton category casting equipment with Lijin Group, surpassing the 12,000-ton casting machine used by Xiaopeng, the 9,000-ton casting machine used by Tesla and WENJIE, and the 7,200-ton casting machine used by JIKE, achieving the integration of casting in larger size areas such as the manufacturing of Level 8 vehicle chassis.

In recent years, integrated casting has become a “must-win battlefield” for new energy vehicle companies, as well as a revolutionary manufacturing technology required for skateboard chassis production. Many car companies are competing to develop integrated casting technology, including Tesla, WENJIE, NIO, Xiaopeng, Li Xiang, and Mercedes-Benz. Currently, new energy vehicle companies generally use 6,000-9,000-ton casting machines, and Nezha Motors’ upcoming world’s largest 20,000+ ton casting equipment will undoubtedly revolutionize the technology of body manufacturing, taking it to new heights.

Through the use of super large-tonnage casting equipment, integrated casting integrates previously separate components together. Compared to traditional manufacturing methods, integrated casting not only significantly reduces the number of components in a car and lowers manufacturing costs, but also reduces the manufacturing time of the car chassis from the traditional 1-2 hours to 1-2 minutes, while also reducing the weight of the vehicle and improving its comfort, among other benefits.

During the signing ceremony, Zhang Yong, co-founder and CEO of Nezha Motors, stated that this collaboration between Nezha Motors and Lijin Group is an innovative move in the context of the automotive lightweight trend, focusing on the upgrade of industrial manufacturing ecology.

Lijin Group, founded in 1979, has witnessed and promoted the development of the Chinese casting industry. In recent years, Lijin Group has pioneered the ultra-large integrated casting of new energy vehicle body chassis and continues to lead the development of ultra-large integrated casting to larger tonnages, greater precision, and more intelligence. Currently, Lijin Group occupies a significant portion of the domestic casting machine market, making it one of the world’s leading casting machine manufacturers.
