Cadillac will launch a new SUV named VISTIQ designed for modern families

Cadillac Introduces VISTIQ A Sleek SUV Perfect for Today's Families

【PhoneAuto News】Cadillac’s electric vehicle lineup is about to expand. Cadillac has confirmed the addition of VISTIQ, which the automaker describes as “a unique and innovative luxury three-row SUV designed for modern families.”

VISTIQ can be seen as a product of LYRIQ and ESCALADE IQ, positioned between LYRIQ (Cadillac’s only currently available electric vehicle) and the upcoming ESCALADE IQ. It can be viewed as a fully electric model equivalent to Cadillac XT6, but with the same styling language as seen in LYRIQ, OPTIQ, and ESCALADE IQ.

Cadillac hopes to enter another SUV segment with VISTIQ. As LYRIQ is more like a small crossover and ESCALADE IQ is a large SUV, Cadillac aims to offer a product in between. Hence, VISTIQ was born.

John Roth, Vice President of Cadillac Global, said, “VISTIQ adds another compelling electric vehicle to Cadillac’s product line, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future. Our brand now offers electric vehicles in most luxury submarkets, providing customers with a range of choices. Cadillac electric vehicles will cover the majority of luxury SUV submarkets in key global markets over the next two years.”

Further details about VISTIQ, including available features and pricing, will be announced when it makes its global debut next year. VISTIQ will utilize General Motors’ Ultium battery and propulsion system, much like other electric SUVs announced by Cadillac and other products in General Motors’ electric vehicle lineup. Considering its size and positioning, it may use the BEV3 architecture instead of ESCALADE IQ’s BT1 SUV/truck platform.
