Does one not require a driver's license to operate a vehicle? An elderly man falls victim to deception from a host, spending 20,000 yuan on a Porsche.

【PhoneAuto News】 Recently, PhoneAuto noticed that a consumer in Henan spent over 20,000 RMB to purchase a hybrid “918 Porsche” in an online livestreaming room. The host even claimed that this car could be driven without a driver’s license. However, the customer was stopped by traffic police shortly after hitting the road…

According to a report from Jimu News: Recently, Mr. Wang from Hebi, Henan reported that he spent over 20,000 RMB to purchase a hybrid “918 Porsche” in an online livestreaming room. Mr. Wang said that the host introduced the car as not requiring a driver’s license, having an incredibly long battery life. But to his surprise, he was stopped and detained by traffic police right after hitting the road. The handbrake can still work after being released, but the car can only take 20 RMB worth of fuel per time. The car keeps having problems and he can’t find anyone for after-sales service.

Spending 20,000 RMB in an online livestreaming room to buy a Porsche, or so-called “918 Porsche”, is truly full of flaws. Some netizens ridiculed: “Someone dares to produce, someone dares to sell, and someone dares to buy.” “You’re absolutely still the boss!”

After the investigation by journalists, this “Porsche” is a blatant counterfeit and substandard product. The brand is fake, the license plate is missing, and the certificate of conformity is self-made by the manufacturer, so it can’t even be registered. Moreover, this kind of car is not uncommon in the market. Not only do they mimic foreign luxury car brands, but they have also started to counterfeit domestic car models in recent years. However, these similar “luxury cars” are still being sold vigorously on social media platforms, mainly targeting elderly people who have little knowledge about relevant laws and regulations and have limited knowledge about cars. They are often easily deceived by the sellers’ persuasive words and end up being cheated. However, these low-quality “luxury cars” on the road will only pose a threat to the safety of car owners and pedestrians.
